Lately

Since Nuclear Power school takes up a significant amount of Tommy's time, and I have not started work yet, lately I have been trying many new things. Check them out!

I have taught myself how to can homemade jellies and mustards.

I found this antique pipe stand at an antique market in Atlanta and refurbished it for the powder bathroom.

I have also been finding different ways to arrange the zinnias that I planted in April. Aren't they pretty?

It has also been fun to put together different arrangements to bring some of the outdoors inside our home!

Tommy and I have really enjoyed watching our tomato plant grow almost as much as getting to eat from our garden.

Last, but certainly not least (especially if you ask Tommy), I have tried lots of new recipes.  Some of the recipes are my own, while many are inspired by recipes one of my favorite TV channels, The Food Network!

I hope you all are having a great summer!! XOXO Laura

Our New Home

Tommy and I have finally settled into our new house in South Carolina. I wanted a quick and easy way to share with you what we have been up to lately.  So thanks to my friends' advice, welcome to our blog!

Here is a quick look at what we have been up to lately:

We loaded up the moving truck and moved to South Carolina at the end of February.

We moved into our beautiful, BRAND NEW house, and met some great friends! Thank you US Navy.

We've had fun exploring downtown Charleston...

...as well as the Isle of Palms beach.

Finally, Tommy started Nuclear Power School at the end of March.

More to come soon! Love you all! XOXO Laura.
